Maria Striki holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Maryland, College Park, since 2006. She received her Diploma in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in 1999 from National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece. She has worked as Senior Research Scientist in former Telcordia Technologies (now Ericsson) 2007-2015.

During her industry experience and PhD studies, she has been involved in numerous government/commercial projects on data analytics, design of efficient, low-cost key management architecture for group communications in resource constrained, infrastructure-less, dynamic networks, analysis-design-optimization of algorithms (key management, routing, topological structures, quantum computing), topology representation and routing dissemination, mobile computing, clustering, cellular networks, cryptography.

Her current research interests also include analysis/design/optimization of data algorithms, statistical analysis, mathematical modeling, big data, data analytics, social networks, information systems, cybernetics, wireless-mobile-ad-hoc-cellular networks, (secure) routing, mobile computing, network-computer security.
