The Capstone Design Course is the culmination of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Student’s undergraduate degree. Senior students gain design experience in team-oriented projects involving one discipline or interweaving multiple areas in electrical and computer engineering. In addition to already amassed theoretical knowledge, projects require the application of standards and realistic engineering constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability. The Capstone students are joined by faculty, fellow students, family, and Industry advisors on Capstone Expo Days to present and demonstrate their projects.
Our panel of industry judges will nominate one team to each of these awards:
1. Top 10 Awards
2. BEST in RESEARCH: most interesting research project
3. BEST in IMPACT: most impactful project, if going to market
4. BEST in COMMERCIALIZATION: a project that is the most chance for commercialization
