A Virtual Gathering and Networking Event

Hosted by Rutgers School of Engineering Dean Tom Farris
With Special Guest Jonathan Holloway, President of Rutgers University

5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. EST

Rutgers University School of Engineering presents a virtual evening of networking and community with alumni, students, industry partners, and friends. With the goal of connecting during these unusual times, it is also an opportunity to recognize the challenges many of our students are facing. The event will raise critical funds to support student needs such as tuition assistance, the purchase of books, and remote learning equipment, along with basic living costs that impact successful learning.

Please join us in this important effort.

Please join Distinguished Professor Narayan Mandayam, chair of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and other representatives of the department to learn more about exciting research, projects, and initiatives in our program. While our Fall 2020 newsletter, ecenews details several of these, the ECE breakout of Rutgers ENGage will feature the following presentations.  Professor Kristin Dana will discuss highlights of a $3M National Science Foundation grant that will help Rutgers train graduate students to develop socially cognizant robots. Professor Mehdi Javanmard will discuss his exciting research on electro-fluidic biosensor technologies for monitoring health and the environment. ECE undergraduate student and Rutgers basketball standout, Myles Johnson will discuss his initiative to inspire Black teens in STEM. Finally, Professor Hana Godrich will highlight many innovative ECE capstone design and internship initiatives, as well as industry support for these.
